Gill Corporation recently received formal notification of Notice of Application for Patent No. 7,842,147 B2 Composite Panel Having In-Situ Thermoset Foamed Core from the U.S. Patent Office. M.C. Gill Corporation’s newest technology (FISTS) is based on a system of coating and filling honeycomb core with material that expands under heat and pressure. The end product offers unique acoustic, vibration and thermal properties well suited to the aerospace industry. Samples of sandwich panels using the patented FISTS technology will be shown at the upcoming Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, Germany, and the MRO Americas Expo in Miami, Florida. M.C.
