- These positions work in a very fast paced environment.

- Must have English reading and verbal communication skills sufficient to read, understand and communicate company operating procedures and policies.

- Must be able to demonstrate math proficiency equal to or greater than required for the position applied.

- Other duties may include assisting in other areas or positions

- Must be available to work shifts specified by position and be flexible to potential overtime on weekend/holidays.

- Shift and schedule may change as deemed necessary.

Shift hours vary by position

1st shift           5:00am to 1:30pm

2nd shift          2:00pm to 10:30pm

3rd shift           10:30pm to 6:00am

FABRICATION ASSEMBLER (2nd and 3rd Shift)

Primary duties include finishing detailed panel assembly and liners. Uses specifications, blue prints, mylar and work orders. Deburrs and cleans insert drill holes prior to insert installation. Applies adhesive to plugs/sleeves and panel prior to plug/sleeve installation. Prepares panel assemblies for edge fill operation. Mixes and applies edge-fill to the undercut of the panels. Hand routes with pneumatic hand router all detailed liners using the specified tool required. Basic PC Computer Skills required. Minimum composite score of 240 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test. $13.74/hr

 

LAY UP OPERATOR (2nd & 3rd Shift)

Primarily responsible for laying up panels and liners prior to the work order to load and unload into the press and assembling precut material slices (Balsa, Aluminum, Nomex) into panels or liners. Will check core accuracy according to work order and that orders are properly signed off on. Prepare and stage all left over materials to be returned back to warehouse. Ensures all materials used are within shelf life requirements Makes sure housekeeping is being maintained and all containers are properly labeled. Basic PC Computer Skills required. Minimum composite score of 240 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test is required. $13.74/hr 

 

EXPANDER OPERATOR (2nd Shift)

Responsible for expanding Nomex block per company guidelines.  Press blocks, put aluminum pin loops to facilitate expansion process, record material usage and press times on shop work order.  Expands blocks to required size per shop work order and record expanded size of block and cell size.  Heat set blocks using programs, fills out work orders, and cleans work area. Forklift experience a plus.  Minimum composite score of 240 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test is required.  Starting Pay Rate: $13.74/hr.

 

SAW OPERATOR (12hr Shift - C)

Responsible for cutting/slicing material according to specific product work instructions and GWI specifications.  Set up Saw for initial cut, check thickness and dimensions of first part produced.  Constantly check material for thickness and density.  Collects, calculates and records data necessary for proper quality and inventory maintenance.  Counts, cleans and covers up material after the order is completed. Must have minimum 1 year Manufacturing Experience. Forklift experience a plus. Acceptable Audiometry test results required. Minimum composite score of 240 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test is required. $13.74/hr

 

PRESS OPERATOR (3rd Shift)

Operates the press. Checks Gill process specifications against shop planner. Loads and unloads press. Break loads apart after pressing. Inspects panels for correctness, and informs supervisor of any noncompliance prior to proceeding with balance of the job. Records material usages and pressing conditions. Operator identifies each panel with serial number and documents all traceability information on the shop planner. Issue materials on system for each work order as needed. Make sure all paper work is completed by the end of each work order.  Minimum composite score of 265 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test is required.  Starting Pay Rate: $15.38/hr.

 

DIP OPERATOR TRAINEE (12hr Shift, C)

Primary duties include using programs for dipping core blocks in a dip tank which soaks them with a special coating material.  Removing dipped core blocks and setting up in oven to cure and then to cool.  Must be able to weigh, measure, calculate and record specific data.  Responsible to insure all products are produced according to product specific work instructions and specifications. Minimum 2 years experience in manufacturing. Forklift experience a plus. Acceptable Spirometry test results required. Minimum composite score of 265 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test is required.  Starting Pay Rate: $15.38/hr.

 

MATERIAL REPLENISHMENT COORDINATOR- FABRICATION (2nd Shift)

Strategically provides all materials via material cart to workcell team in partnership with the Production Lead and/or Fabrication Supervisor. In addition, coordinates similar assembly and identification operations to minimize waste and increase productivity.  Key role in ensuring workcell model is flowing smoothly. Ability to successfully work with Operations Engineering and quality representatives to drive continuous improvement; identify root causes and corrective action, and; participate in change management. To be successful in this role, the employee must have the ability to communicate, motivate, and drive the workcell team. Must have minimum 1 year related experience. Must have Highschool diploma and experience with ERP system. Minimum composite score of 265 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test. Starting Pay Rate: $15.38/hr.

 

PRECISION ASSEMBLER I (1st Shift)

Refurbishment Activities - Perform disassembly, inspection, repair work, and subsequent assembly of refurbishment orders. Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft assemblies/components, and various related parts. Utilize hand and power tools during fabrication of sheet metal orders - including drilling, riveting, and assembly. Responsible for reading and understanding both internal and external drawings and specifications in an effort to ensure part is fabricated correctly. Capable of and when required, perform all duties and responsibilities expected of a Fabrication Technician. Stage jobs in FP3 area to ensure work space is available based on job priorities. Perform necessary transaction in the MRP system. Performs other various tasks as needed. Must have minimum 1 year mechanical assembly experience. Minimum composite score of 265 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test. $18.16/hr

 

CNC OPERATOR / MACHINIST - Non-Metallic (2nd Shift)

Reviews setup sheet and specifications to determine setup procedure, machining sequence, and dimensions of finished work piece. Using machine controls, operator retrieves programs. Manipulates controls and enters commands to index cutting tool to specified set point and to start machine. Changes cutting tools and location of work piece during machining process as specified in setup instructions. Measures work piece for conformance to specifications. Notifies supervisor of discrepancies. Machines materials other than metal such as composites, plastic, and rubber. Check cutter size and wear. Also add edits to accommodate actual cutter diameter to prevent product not meeting tolerances. Must have minimum 1 year CNC machining experience. Minimum composite score of 265 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test required. $20.17/hr

 

CNC OPERATOR - PRECISION MACHINING (1st Shift)

Reviews setup sheet and specifications to determine setup procedure, machining sequence, and dimensions of finished work piece. Using machine controls, operator retrieves programs. Manipulates controls and enters commands to index cutting tool to specified set point and to start machine.
