一段時間以來，El Monte 行動每 4 年在 FIFA 世界杯期間舉辦一次嗚嗚祖拉吹氣比賽。
It started 14 years ago after my daughter, Jennifer, joined the corporation. It was her suggestion that we celebrate the World Cup with something unique and a vuvuzela is certainly unique. We, those of us that want to participate, gather in front of our Headquarters building with vuvuzelas and a decibel meter. We set up a table and invite anyone and everyone to step up to the table and see what they can register on the decibel meter.
Most of the time the decibel meter doesn’t have anything to worry about, but occasionally we’ll get an ex-trumpet player and he/she will rattle windows…………and win the contest.
As a private family business, we can do things like this and our Truck Day celebration. They’re fun and distinctly “Gill”.
