Merwyn C. Gill Celebrates his 100th Birthday

El Monte, California – The entire staff from M.C. Gill Corporation recently gathered to celebrate founder Merwyn C. Gill’s 100th birthday. Merwyn C. Gill, known as “M.C.” is a pioneer in the science of advanced composite materials. He founded the M.C. Gill Corporation in 1945 in a rented garage. The operation grew from a mom and pop operation to a global company with over 600 employees and four subsidiaries. M.C. has been a generous benefactor to The University of Southern California, The Boy Scouts of America and numerous community organizations. In 2006, his son, Stephen Gill became Chairman of the Board. M.C. officially retired from the corporation in April 2010. Employees and family members gathered to share birthday cake and offer warm congratulations to M.C. on achieving this amazing milestone. M.C. Gill Corporation is the oldest, continuously operating manufacturer of reinforced plastics – called “composites” – in the world. M.C. Gill Corporation is headquartered in El Monte, CA.
