The Gill Corporation Celebrates 75th Anniversary

El Monte, California – The owners, staff and subsidiaries of The Gill Corporation celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the company on September 11, 1945.

The Gill Corporation began in a rented garage in Montebello, California and currently resides in an eight building complex on Easy Street in El Monte, California, with subsidiaries in France, Northern Ireland and Maryland. The Gill Corporation is the oldest family owned and operated business in the exciting field of Aerospace Composites. Stephen Gill, second generation owner, began working in the business in 1957 and has been with the company for 63 years.

The Corporation began 2020 with over 1,100 teammates and is looking forward to returning to that number as soon as the pandemic is over. In the meantime, Stephen said, “We’re doing what we’ve always done during a downturn. We’re strengthening our foundation, investing in R&D, upgrading our infrastructure and getting ready for the next 75 years, although I don’t intend to be here for all of them.”

Both the founder, M. C. Gill and Stephen have been inducted into the Western Plastics Pioneers Hall of Fame.
