The Gill Corporation Named El Monte/South El Monte Chamber of Commerce Business of The Year

El Monte, CA – The Gill Corporation is pleased to announce they have been selected Business of the Year by the El Monte/South El Monte Chamber of Commerce.

The Gill Corporation is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of advanced composite materials and original equipment for the aerospace industry.

The Gill Corporation was founded in 1945, moved to South El Monte in 1955 and acquired the first building in their current location in 1960. Today, the corporation is one of the largest employers in the San Gabriel Valley and employs over 500 people at the eight building corporate headquarters with over 390,000 square feet of manufacturing and office space. Almost everything sold is shipped out of state and or overseas. This helps to lower both California, and the United States trade deficit making The Gill Corporation a trade positive business for both the state and the country.

Since its founding, the corporation remains family owned and has offered significant charitable support to the surrounding communities including the El Monte South El Monte Emergency Rescue Assistance charity, the Huntington Memorial Hospital and The Salvation Army. These financial contributions provide hospital and after school assistance to local residents of the San Gabriel Valley. In addition, The Gill Corporation initiated the Composites Merit Badge and continues to fund the San Gabriel Valley Boy Scouts.
