AOG

A long time ago, when I was working as the Production Manager we received a call from Lockheed Aircraft Services located at Ontario Airport in Southern California. They needed some sheets of cargo liner for an AOG. I do not remember how many sheets were on the order, but in those days any order was a big order.

We immediately stopped what we were running, mixed a new batch of resin and switched over to the rush order. I was young and enjoyed the drama. We made the order and had the sheets trimmed, packed and on a truck by the end of the same day. I later found out that the order was for Air Force One.

Our ability to respond to a customer’s AOG request on the same day is one of the things that has defined The Gill Corporation over the years. And it is still my mantra – Do whatever we need to do to take care of the customer.
